Christmas part three

It's Christmas Day! We wake the kids up and go see what Santa brought them. Bears, rabbits, blankets, and chewies! They loved them all and played with them all morning. We went to the Minick's for lunch. We had a great time visiting with everyone. Christmas dinner was at Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Dan's house. We had soup and sandwiches. The little kids had tons of energy and were alot of fun! It's nice to have little ones in the family now! We opened presents and had a good time visiting and watching the kids play. There are alot more pictures so make sure and check out Picasa. I kinda got carried away with the camera but I love taking pictures and there seemed to be great photo opts!

Christmas part one

Is it just me or did it seem like Christmas came too fast this year? Before I knew it it was two weeks before Christmas and I hadn't even started shopping which is very unusual for me. I pretty much look for any excuse to shop! I spent one weekend and did all of my shopping and I was pooped! But it was done and that was one more thing I could cross off the list. Then I had to wrap all of them. Oh what fun! I really wasn't in the mood to wrap this year. I mean you have to drag everything out, search for boxes, cut the paper short at least one time and have to redo it, and end up with a sore back from sitting on the floor. Not to mention trying to keep the little helpers(the dogs) off the paper. The dogs were very in a very helpful mood this year. They "helped" me put the tree up and decorate it, wrap presents, and make two wreaths. What would I do without them right!?

Onstar could be the death of me!

So I decided to activate the onstar for my car. I was very excited! I mean how cool to just push a button to call someone or get directions? Well its not as easy as it sounds people! It usually takes me 10 times longer to call someone than if I had just used my cellphone! Heres an average conversation I have with the onstar lady. Now to set the scene: I am driving down town Crawfordsville @ 5:00p trying to call home. I'm at a stop light and there are cars all around me. Oh, and I have left my cellphone at home.

Onstar: onstar ready
Me: dial
Onstar: I'm sorry?
Me: dial ( in louder tone now)
Onstar: Slower please
Me: Duh I al!
The cars around me are now looking at me with wierd expressions on their face wondering why I'm yelling at my rearview mirror. Theres one Tahoe who is laughing and shaking his head like he is saying yes. Obviously he has Onstar and feels my pain! So I hit the phone button to end the call and try again. Maybe if I use the call option ,which allows you to use a number that you have stored with a name taged to it, that this will go a smoother.

Onstar: onstar ready
Me : call
Onstar: I didn't catch that
Me: CALL
Onstar: slower please
Me: Kuh All!!
Onstar : Did you say call? say yes or no.
Me:yes
Onstar: slower please.
Me: ya es!
Onstar: O.K.! who would you like to call?
Me : Home
Onstar: Did you say Joan? Say yes or no.
Me:NO!
Onstar: O.K. lets try again... Who would you like to call?
Me: HOME
Onstar: Did you say home?
Me : YES!
Onstar: O.K. calling home!
Thank goodness!!
After the phone stars ringing I start to laugh thinking about what had just happened! I'm sure I looked like an idiot!

Ali turns 3!

Wow time really flies! Allison is three years old now and cute as can be! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! She had her princess birthday party at Ron and ann's house where we had dinner and cake. The cake was awesome! Alexia made a castle cake and it looked so good! Tasted good too!
